Matilda the Musical JR: Monday 17th – Friday 21st & Monday 24th – Tuesday 25th August for young performers aged 11 – 18.
Led by our partners A Place For Us the ‘Matilda Jr In A Week(ish)’ performers rehearse for 6 days on stage at The Epstein Theatre before two public performances at the theatre on Tuesday 25th August.
A Place For Us is a multi-award-winning musical theatre school for young performers aged 11-18 led by industry professionals.
About our Musical in a Week(ish) Summer Programme
Our Musical in a Week(ish) Summer Programme is led by a team of creatives with years of professional experience performing all over the world and in the West End. Matilda Jr is led by A Place For Us’ Artistic Directors – Kate Allerston (Director) & Chris Bastock (Musical Director).
The young performers will spend 6 days rehearsing Matilda and on the 7th day – Tuesday 25th they will perform their musical at the iconic Epstein Theatre in the heart of Liverpool.
Who is our Musical in a Week(ish) Summer Camp suitable for?
It’s suitable for any child who loves musicals, singing, dancing and acting. No previous performing experience is necessary, just enthusiasm and a love for musicals. If your child is a beginner, they will be guided and nurtured throughout the whole week. Children who are more experienced will be encouraged and challenged and may be given the opportunity to play main roles. So, if your child has always wanted to be Matilda or Miss Trunchbull or a ‘Revolting Child’ in Matilda then our Musical in a Week(ish) Summer Camp is the perfect summer camp for them. It will also be such FUN!
